Government
• Existing buildings with more than 20 parking spaces:
At least 2 charging points are mandatory from 1 January 2025.
• New construction or major renovation (planning applications submitted since 1 March 2021):
Car parks with more than 10 spaces must include at least 2 charging points, plus charging infrastructure (pre-cabling) for 1 in 4 parking spaces.
• Fines start from €2,000 per missing charging point and €1,000 per parking space that does not have the required preparatory infrastructure.
